She was up here staying at the house for the weekend, so we got a chance to shoot her for the corpse paint project
more info on that here: www.jeremysaffer.com/corpsepaint
So we did a quick 20 minute shoot because we both felt like complete garbage (and as a testament to that, both fell right asleep when we got home from the shoot)
We started off on white - shooting with 2 3x4 soft boxes on compact 300s - split lighting - at 100%
I shot this at ISO125 - at F16-18 - at a 160th.
I got to play around with my 24-70 2.8 L USM Macro lens a bit too!
See three images below (these were shot with the 70-200 2.8 IS L

For the rest of the shots I used a boomed beauty dish at 50% power - as high up above the model - pointed straight down. I pulled it pretty far away from the background in order to have the white go dark grey, and give a solid midtone to really make the mids hit hard for this - which is perfect for the black and white makeup. As you can tell, I really liked shooting close up/partial face shots with the 70-200 and the 24-70

After finishing up on white - we switched it over to black and I experimented a bit with the 24-70 macro - doing close ups and such - I'm still getting used to the range of that lens so I didnt use it alot, but I'm sure over time itll become an integral part of my arsenal as time goes on.

Jessie was another GREAT addition to this project, I think the end result will be pretty amazing.
Jeremy,
